I almost fell off my chair when I saw this! YAY! My mom's side of the family is Swedish and she loves anything with a dala hest on them. Perfect timing to get started with making her something for Christmas. Thanks! :-D

I have one of these little horses as a Christmas ornament. Thank you for sharing, I don't cross-stitch (I can, I just don't VBG) but a colleague does. She'll love this.

I was excited when I saw this, I went to college in Lindsborg, Kansas which has a strong Swedish heritage. Many people had these horses with their names on them near their front door. I have a small Christmas ornament like this and also a bigger one that I did in needlework.

Es muy linda tu cuadrícula del caballo sueco, me recuerda Darlana.

Thank you so much for this gorgeous pattern. I was going to make a felt dala horse for my tree this year, but a cross stitch one will be even better. This pattern will be perfect.
Thanks again,
Judy

Mange tak! Though my needlework skills are something less than to be desired.. I think this is a pattern I am capable of doing & look forward to surprising my Farmor with just in time for Christmas. : )

Beautiful pattern! I am stitching it for a New Year Wishes card. Perfect cultural mix as 2014 is the Chinese Year of the Horse ;)
Thanks for sharing!
